Maisonneuve Fracture

Typically, a Maisonneuve fracture involves a fracture of the medial malleolus of the ankle with disruption of the tibiofibular syndesmosis. This results in a fracture of the proximal third of the fibula. The Maisonneuve fracture results from an ankle eversion injury.
