Humeral Shaft Fracture

Return to Main Menu

Most humeral fractures near the shoulder occur at the surgical neck and can be classified as Neer one-part injuries. Mid shaft humeral fractures are almost always the result of direct trauma (less often due to a fall), are either transverse or oblique, and are displaced due to muscular action. Radial nerve injury is the main complication.
